The December drawing for a $100 gift card to FootZone was won by William Johnson who will from here on be known as "Lucky Bastard". Not only did he win this contest but he also won a free slot into the Dirty Half at the party last March. Way to go Will....Lucky Bastard!

'Tis the Season!!
It's that time of year when the 2010 models are arriving. We've had the Asics 2150 and Kayano 16 for a little over month and the consensus is that both are even better than last year. From Brooks; the Adrenaline 10 has been here for a couple of weeks and customers who've worn previous models are loving it! The updated Glycerin and Trance came in last week-- good stuff!! C'mon in and try'em. Here's photos of the Trance 9 and Glycerin 8.
Keep running,
Rob

California International Marathon & Xterra Worlds!
Congratulations to Liz Fancher and Dave Webster on great runs this past weekend at the California International Marathon. Both Dave and Liz have been putting in a lot of hard work and it's nice to see it paid off; Dave was 2nd place in his age division completing the race in 2:57:27 and Liz ran a 3:58:26!! All the results are here: http://runcim09.flashresults.com/Searchable.htm
And, although the weather must have been shocking for his return to Oregon and he'd much rather be running on a beach in Hawai'i, way to go Max King for being the XTERRA world trail running champion for two years straight. Max ran the 21K (half marathon course) in 1:14:26! The results are here: http://jtltiming.com/results/x-oahu-21k.html

Brrrrrrrrrrr! (but you can still run)
Here's a link to a Runner's World article on running in the cold. It's a good read and will remind you that you can still get your run in on these bitter cold days. Be sure to stay hydrated, dress appropriately, use Yaktrax and carry a cell phone in case something does happen (bad fall, etc). Generally, just be prepared and enjoy the adventure. This is why we live here, right? Cheers-Teague
